What is Art Behind the Screen?

Art Behind the Screen is an online exhibition project created in collaboration with Mia Ferullo, Beth Wilson, Grace Derry, Maria Anderson, Sabby Jamalulail, Steph Denham and Amy Majed from York St John University. This was created in response to lockdown after the closure of University and the loss of our end of year exhibition. Our aim was to create an alternative platform, in which we could display the artworks we have been creating towards our degree during these uncertain times. Art Behind the Screen however is about more than just finished products; it also offers some insight into the processes behind our art - those which have informed its making.

Art Behind the Screen consists of a variety of styles and art, from sculpture to printing, painting and collage. These are based on our own personal interests and experiences informed by life both during and prior to lockdown.
